Rebuild Your Social Network after Divorce

As your inner world begins to settle down and balance after divorce, you must nourish your growing self from every available source. Part of doing well for yourself is to reach out, to build new bridges with people. Relationships provide opportunities for you to discover and express yourself as you continue your development. For many people, social interaction may feel risky because of previous disappointments and hurt feelings. But to not take the risk toward reaching out to others, is to run the greater risk of becoming socially isolated. You may feel safe in your isolation, but you will not develop yourself fully if you fail to connect with others in significant and intimate ways.
